The prefinished steel A-Series Adjustable Frame is the perfect companion for the S-Series and C-Series Standard Frame. Use A-Series frames to prevent job site installation issues resulting from varying wall thickness or a non-standard Jamb depth. A-Series frames are also a solution where pre-hung assemblies are required.

All of our A-Series steel door frames are manufactured utilizing Hot Dipped Galvanized (HDG) material.  HDG provides superior corrosion resistance in the harshest environments making Timely much easier to specify.

  • Finishing options include our standard colors, pre-matched custom colors, and project matched custom colors.
  • Fire ratings up to 90 minutes are available for non-glazed openings, and up to 45 minutes for glazed openings.
  • Mullions are not available for A-Series frames.

A-Series (18 Gauge)

  • Use for interior openings with uneven or odd sized walls requiring non-stock wall size. Adjustable jamb thickness makes this frame ideal for remodel projects.
  • Minimum Jamb Depth – 3 3/4″
  • Maximum Jamb Depth – 9 1/8″
  • Maximum Door Weight – A-Series Adjustable Frames will accommodate a 1 3/4″ door weighing up to 500 lbs.

WOOD CASING

Wood casing: can easily be applied to Timely frames. This requires a frame without Casing Retainer Clips. Specify frames with nail holes and oval slots (NHOS) only Wood casing is then installed over the frame face using a nail gun or trim head screws. Casing profile must provide back clearance for screw heads used to install frame.

Fire Ratings: Wood casing must be applied with hot melt glue or contact adhesive on 90 minute rated frames and on all glazed openings with 45 minute or 60 minute rating. On all other fire rated frames, wood casing can be applied with nails or finish head screws on jambs and mullions.

PRE-MATCHED RAL FINISHES (Powder Coated)

Timely uses the Sherwin-Williams RAL polyester powder coatings on our (A-Series) Adjustable Frames, which results in consistent and long-lasting finishes. The Timely Adjustable (A-Series) frames can optionally be finished using any of the available Sherwin-Williams RAL powder coatings. Consult factory for pricing and lead times.

The Sherwin-Williams RAL powder coatings are currently available in 188 vibrant colors. The current selection of colors can be found on the Sherwin-Williams website. Note: The color chart will open in a new window or tab.

Custom color matching is also available. Submit color chip for matching. Consult factory for pricing and lead times.
